A trip to Cham Island - Vietnam is known for good diving. 1. Because it is cheap. 2. The underwater scenery is beautiful. We were a bit less lucky when we did the trip in March. The water visibility was only 1 m and the water was only 20 degrees Celsius (68 F) which is quite cold if you are used to scuba diving in Thailand.
Boat along the river - If you feel like relaxing for a day this boat trip is something for you! Find the best price and get on the river to see a whole different perspective of Hoi An. Watch the sunset from the river.
Da Nang city - Rent a motorbike and drive 30 minutes to get to this bigger city. There are beautiful Marble Mountains, great beaches, surfing and the party scene is very alive. This is more of a richer tourist destination with many resorts.
Take some cooking classes - If you find that Vietnamese food is delicious you should definitely try to do some cooking classes. They will help you to make some really good local dishes. You can book cooking classes in random restaurants or travel agencies.
Party at the Full Moon Festival - Hoi An’s Full Moon Festival is held on the 14th day of the lunar cycle each month. If you like to party then this is the best time to visit the city. It is obviously totally different then the Full Moon parties in Thailand. But I can assure you this is great too!

Hoi An was always a place we wanted to visit because of all the good things we heard about it. UNESCO recognizes the old ancient town as a world heritage site and it shows a lot of French influences. From walking down old alley ways lined with colourful lanterns to moon lit dinners overlooking the canals. We found Hoi An very romantic with plenty of activities you can do. We rented a motorbike to be able to explore in and around Hoi An. It always gives us this ultimate feeling of freedom. Spend at least 3 nights in this beautiful town and treat yourselves with a romantic dinner.
